Quilted Sympathy Card

A sweet friend of mine lost her father and I felt that a quilt card would be appropriate. My quilt brings back so many good memories, and it may work for her in a card form.  I started out by using the quilt card tutorial at Splitcoaststampers. LOVE THEM!!!  I used scraps of paper I had that reminded me of quilts, then added baja breeze, certainly celery and melon mambo. I tried to distress the celery layer, but dont think I was too successful. I also didn't have a square envie, so I made it a regular size card. I liked how it turned out and hopes she does too.

This is the first time posting in 4 years. It was a VERY LONG coffee break!!!

I love visiting blogs and I love how creatively they are put together. I did a very basic blog 4 years ago, and posted maybe 3 times. I will be changing this daily until it becomes what I want.

I have decided to start participating in challenges and found the Connie and Mary one. I made this card using the Real Red, So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. I used a white base and shortened the front by 1/2 inch and added a red scallop border. The stamp set is Morning Cup and it is colored in with the aqua painter. The rest is pretty self explanatory.

Hope you guys have fun creating too!

I am dying oh how cute these things are!

I saw a post on how to make hot chocolate holder purse things out of scrapbook paper. Do you know how much paper I have? Do you know how many projects I buy new paper for and forget about it, then buy more? Well, I am using it up! These purses are adorable and I finally get to use my cropadile as an eyelet setter. Four years ago, I bought probably $100 worth of eyelets and they have sat in a box. This cropadile is so incredible and fast! My craft sale is on Saturday, so I am going to see how these do. I love using up stuff I have here at the house to sell!

I was ultra shocked to see some comments on here. I didn't even know people could see this blog. This is really kind of an experiment for me. I need to see how much time this takes, and how much time I have. Until then, if anyone feels like looking, look on!

Have lots of fun!

The other side...

These 2 pieces of furniture are from W*Mart! Gotta love them! They house the Cricut, Cuttlebug, Bind It All, Jewelry making stuff and beads, and the big one has buttloads of space! I am even trying to label everything in there. What a shock!
